Today’s Providence Journal has an editorial calling on state legislators to:

Super-charge the economy by developing ports, and particularly build a container port at Quonset Point.

With a recently dredged 40ft deep water channel, and a long and proud history as a working waterfront, the Port of Providence is poised to grow and help “super-charge” Rhode Island’s ailing economy.

During this year’s legislative session the Providence Working Waterfront Alliance looks forward to working with members of the Rhode Island General Assembly to develop policies and legislation to protect, promote, and grow our state’s ports.
